Formed in Dudley, in the Black Country in 2006, Soley Mourning have gone on to be one of the most energetic, powerful, talked about bands to have emerged since their illustrious predecessors from the surrounding areas such as Black Sabbath, Glenn Hughes, Slade and Led Zeppelin to name a few.
Following the release of their 3rd studio album ‘Zaire’ in 2011 to huge critical acclaim, the band have exploded back on the scene with their highly anticipated 4th studio album ‘The Rocket Pool’ (Saltdog Records), recorded at M2 Madhat Studios, produced by Mark V Stuart (Magnum, Robert Plant, Jim Lea).
Since 2006, the band have been headlining gigs and festivals across the Country, Belgium and Holland. The sheer dynamism, quality and high energy live performances have been responsible for being invited on a European tour support with fellow Brit rockers Magnum in 2009 and national tour supports with female artists Toyah Wilcox and Hazel O’ Conner, and Jimi Hendrix’s brother Leon Hendrix. Other support slots include Mitch Mitchell, Gilby Clarke (ex Guns N Roses), Terrorvision to name a few.
